Valentine's Day door hanger

Less than a month now until the next festive holiday - Valentine's Day. Though I'm not a huge fan of this holiday, I still feel the need to do something for it. So I came up with this simple door hanger to display.

Choose a few holiday fabrics you like.

Cut out two hearts on a fold in the fabric.

With wrong sides together, sew along the sides of the heart.

Reinforce around the points.

Leave an opening for turning.

Cut small notches at the curves, careful not to cut the stitching.

Turn.

Stuff lightly so the hearts are squishy.

Hand sew open gap closed.

Use cording to attach the hearts and beads - I used jelly cord.

I used a yarn needle to sew through the hearts. I also doubled up on the cording so there are two strings of beads between the hearts.

Add ribbon or bows at the top for hanging.
