A peek at my phone

I admit it. I was perfectly happy with my Blackberry when the iPhone came out. It did everything I needed. I could check email, check Facebook, check Twitter. Voila. Done. But Joe, the whore for Apple products that he is, was all about getting us iPhones - when can we change our plan, when can we afford to buy them, etc. Being poor, and having decent working phones already, we held off on signing a new contract.
A couple years later, Apple whipped out the new 32GB phones and dropped their prices. Joe dragged me to the local AT&T store right away to do research on plans. A few days later after a trip to the Apple store, we each had a brand spankin new iPhone.
*sigh* I was sold. How did I ever live without an iPhone? It can keep me entertained for hours, especially while bored to death waiting for flights in airports. God Save the iPhone.

I'm always on the lookout for a fun iPhone app that I'll actually use. Like most people, these are the apps I tend to use most often:
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Google Calender
  • Pandora
  • Photos
  • Link to work email
  • General info stuff: Weather, Clock/Alarm, etc.

  • But then I have a bunch of games and apps to kill time. Here are just a few of my faves:

  • Paper Toss - simulation of tossing a wad of paper into a trash can. Not so easy since you gotta compensate for desk fan blowing the paper at different angles/speeds.
  • Unblock Me - my new favorite. Move the bricks around in order to free the red brick. The trick is to do it in as few moves as possible.
  • Tap Tap Revolution - DDR for your fingers. The music isn't great all the time, but the game itself is enough to keep me busy

  • And there you have it. Like I said, I'm always looking for a new fun app so let me know if I'm missing anything. And, since I'm cheap, the free-er the better.

    1. Steve is addicted, seriously addicted, to Paper Toss. He needs a 12-step program ASAP.

And the line "Joe, the whore for Apple products that he is..." made me laugh soooo hard.

    2. I used to be addicted too. It's possible to get through it. I only play it now when I'm super bored.
