Trash to craft

I started having a buildup of old t-shirts I lovingly called my gym t-shirts (but honestly - how often to I hit the gym?). So they ended up in a pile in the corner. I've had them for quite a long time that I kinda grew attached to a few including a college tee from freshman year and a college tee from senior year. I didn't really have the heart to be wasteful and throw them a way, but they were not in great shape to be donated. And so they sat.

A few weeks ago, I saw a blog post by Polka Dot Pineapple about making t-shirt yarn. So I promised myself, as soon as my Christmas crafts were done with, I am 'recycling' those shirts!

And thus I did:

Now the question is....what do I make with them?

  3. Hi, I'm happy you found this great 'material'! I made last autumn a small 'T-shirt carpet' and I like it very much. My next project is going to be a bag, but now I need to collect some colours for that! I got the idea from Alice, 'Crochet with Raymond', she made a potholder.
    Happy crafting! Teje
