Springing forward - placemat

Last week, we had over 80 degree weather in LA. Between the warm weather and the sun staying up past six o'clock, I've had plenty of time and oomph to do some crafting. So among the other crafts I did last week, I decided to brighten up my dining table:

Found that cotton fabric at the store and HAD to have it. Wasn't exactly sure what I was going to do with it, but I'm sure glad I got it! Just a simple quilted placemat with angled corners. But it turned out cuter than I expected.

I also made a crocheted bowl out of my old t-shirts. Up for grabs in my Etsy store!

  1. Love the placemat! The daffodils in the center are so spring too! Did you grow them or buy them?

  2. I am just learning to quilt so small projects like that placemat are especially appealing to me right now. Yours is pretty & cheerful. The upcycled bowl is cute, too.

  3. I cheaped out and bought them. I WISH I had a garden to grow flowers in though. Right now, since the daffodils have died off, I have yellow daisies in their place.

  4. Hi Helby,

I love the bowl you made with your Tshirt yarn! I was debating on making a tote bag but needed a small rug for little wet feet for my back door. Thanks for visiting Show, Tell, Share.
