...and it took a lot less time and effort than I expected.
I know you can buy the Charlie Brown tree in stores lately, but for the sizes of the dolls I made, that tree would be monstrous. So why not make my own?
Wired tree garland
Brown floral tape
Small box (I used a small gift box from gifted candy)
Piece of floral foam
Light blue fleece
- Cut three different lengths of the garland (the longest one being the branch the ornament will hang from.)
- Using floral tape, tightly wind the tape around the base of the branches and wrap upwards, eventually separating the three branches by taping each individually. Leave 1-2 inches of garland untaped at the end of each branch. Bend the branches as needed to get the desired look.
- Place piece of foam in the box. Poke a hole big enough in the foam to stick in the trunk of the tree.
- Loosely wrap fleece around the base of the tree to cover the box, and hang the ornament.
