"I never thought it was such a bad little tree."

Well, I wasn't able to complete my Charlie Brown collection before Christmas, but I WAS able to whip up the tree before heading out for my flight east...

...and it took a lot less time and effort than I expected.
I know you can buy the Charlie Brown tree in stores lately, but for the sizes of the dolls I made, that tree would be monstrous. So why not make my own?

Wired tree garland
Brown floral tape
Small box (I used a small gift box from gifted candy)
Piece of floral foam
Light blue fleece

  1. Cut three different lengths of the garland (the longest one being the branch the ornament will hang from.)
  2. Using floral tape, tightly wind the tape around the base of the branches and wrap upwards, eventually separating the three branches by taping each individually. Leave 1-2 inches of garland untaped at the end of each branch. Bend the branches as needed to get the desired look.
  3. Place piece of foam in the box. Poke a hole big enough in the foam to stick in the trunk of the tree.
  4. Loosely wrap fleece around the base of the tree to cover the box, and hang the ornament.
