Mod Podge Mania - 106-108 of 365

Every now and then, when I check in to a hotel on a work trip and get to my room, I'm greeted by a complimentary food basket. Sometimes it has fruit, sometimes wine, but most recently, I received some containers of nuts. (I usually pack the wine in a shipment home - though I don't have any qualms with it, I think people would think it's sad I'm drinking alone in my room). The nuts didn't last long, but I didn't feel right just throwing the containers away, or leaving it for housekeeping to do it. So I stashed it in my luggage to take home.

And I'm glad I did! Opening the bag of clothespins for the project later in this post, I kinda destroyed the bag. So I whipped out some paper and made the container all pretty!

Speaking of clothespins, I've seen quite a few posts online with these so I thought I'd give it a try. Crazy simple: Take apart pins, top with a thin layer of Mod Podge; top with small piece of fabric; trim to fit; top with another layer of Mod Podge; put pin back together; attach magnet to back.

For my last sticky project of the day, I made myself a gum container. I have the bad habit of demolishing paper/cardboard gum packages in my purse. So I figured revamping an Altoids tin would do the trick.

Now to go scrub my hands...

  2. These are great ideas and I love that you reused the tins! I also destroy gum packages and it ends up all over the bottom of my purse, this is a good solution! Thanks for sharing and I am a new follower!
Hope you are having a great day!
