Sunflower cat toy - 135 of 365

I'm very fortunate that my cats enjoy homemade toys over store-bought. Maybe it's because I load mine with more catnip than the typical manufactured product. Either way, I'm happy they appreciate what their mom makes them.
So this week, to celebrate the seasonal change of summer into fall, I made them a sunflower toy.

1. Cut out your felt pieces. I used the bottom of a can of beans for the center circles (cut two), and made petal shapes out of yellow and orange.

2. Arrange your petals the way you want on top of 1 brown circle, but turned inside.

Sandwich the petals inside the two brown circles and pin.
Stitch 1/4" from the edge. Leave about 1/2" opening. Turn.
Fill with a few pinches of catnip and polyester stuffing.
Stitch closed. I also stitched around the entire center circle close to the edge.
