So my plan to make 365 items was a bust. But I gave it a good effort - almost 200 crafts. I'm happy to not have that self-induced pressure anymore - I now have time to focus on bigger, more time-consuming projects.
In the works:
Finishing my Quilt Block of the Month quilt
New bags/totes: crochet and sewn
Clothes: PJs and a dress
Misc little projects
Scrap fabric quilt
I also plan to get back into reading. Towards the end of the year, I basically stopped reading. Crafts, work, and naps got in the way. But I've already started - One book I received for Xmas is read and shelved - The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore. And I just started a new series - Corduroy Mansions by Alexander McCall Smith (whose other books I've enjoyed).
Speaking of books, this weekend I'm going through my book stash and picking out old books for donation to Better World Books. They sell gently used books, and the proceeds go towards literacy and education campaigns. Whatever books aren't sold are recycled rather than thrown into landfills.
And of course, there's the dreaded talk about exercise and health. I kinda gave up the last couple months. Just didn't have the time between work travel, prepping for Christmas, and our Christmas travel. Unfortunately, my gym is closed for remodeling until January 9th. But all is not lost - we bought new bikes for ourselves for Christmas!
My first ride was rough. We went about 10 miles that day. My legs hurt briefly, but it was my bum that hurt the most! The second ride went better. Now I'm just looking forward to riding to the beach! (and buying a basket, and making a matching liner - yes, another project!)
Here's to a happy and prosperous new year!
