The quilt is finished!

A year in the making. My Block of the Month quilt from Craftsy.com is offically done.

QBOM quilt

2 blocks a month, then a few months for piecing and quilting. Took awhile but I'm so happy to have it finished.

For binding, I used a binding method I had found at LorettaAlvarado.com. Instead of using strips, you leave the backing fabric bigger than the quilt top, and fold over the excess and stitch down. Very easy, and it came out looking so nice!

Now I have time to get to the smaller projects I've had in mind, as well as coming up with ideas for more quilts!

If you're interested, it's not too late to start Craftsy's 2013 Block of the Month quilt!

  3. So pretty! I love the colors. Doesn't it feel wonderful to finish a large quilt project! There's nothing quite like it. I'd love to pin this for inspiration.
