Easter runner

With a sudden charge of inspiration the other day, I came up with the idea to make a table runner using some of my stock fabric. And because I enjoyed making my QBOM quilt so much, I decided to make it a quilted runner, using some of the tricks I learned from that class.

So it was born:

I used a 4 1/2" square to make all the triangles, and then just strips of fabric to extend the sides. If I was better with free motion quilting, I probably would've done a little design in the pink strip.

Plans for this weekend: Dying eggs! Picked up an old school pack of Paas and some eggs from the farmers' market, so we're ready to get colorin'!

That reminds me, I gotta pull out my old Easter DVD: a collection of TV recordings on VHS I made when I was little of Easter specials, including Looney Tunes, The Family Circus, and a Paas movie, which Joe transferred to DVD for me a few years ago. Best thing about that disk - the '80s commercials! Still know all the jingles by heart.
