Beachy Bedroom - Seahorse pillows

Redoing my bedroom has been a very slow work in progress. But it's finally coming along.

Originally, I made some shell-y candle holders...

...and made some starfish wall art...

and now I've adding some bright pillows to the bed set:

Seahorse pillows

I googled an image of a seahorse, traced it out on to Heat'n'Bond, and ironed it onto some purply fabric. I made the pillow top with light blue swirly fabric, and the back is a beige sparkly sand-like color.

I also stitched on top and around the seahorse with matching color thread:

I have a few more ideas sitting in my brain, but we'll see what comes of it...

  1. Oh, I love these pillows and it sounds like a fun and easy project. I'll go back and look at some of your other ideas. I live in Florida and love everything about the sea!
