Feeling cozy after some stress

Boy, have I felt unproductive lately. Although, as Joe pointed out to me, I've actually been TOO busy and need a break. Over the last 3 months, I've been working full time (and unhappily at that), prepping for our biggest event of the year, my UX class, my zoo class plus full field work day, the holidays, and most recently fighting a headcold and suffering from some crazy abnormal back pain - yeah, I guess it's a good excuse not to feel too creative. Any chance of a vacation coming soon? Probably not.

So I was happy last night while watching the Grammy's that I was able to whip up a new cozy for my mug at work. Made with some leftover yarn and a button. I found that having the flap closure through the mug handle rather than above it makes the cozy tighter and gives the mug a better fit. This is probably my new go-to design. (My work mug changes color with heat - hence the blue handle and white cup.)
Re: the Grammy's - way too long and not as entertaining as the hype made it out to be. Glad I gave it a chance, but I'm sooo over music awards shows.

  1. Cute mug cozy! Do you think this helps keep your coffee or tea any hotter? I have always wondered about how well these work.

    1. I don't know if it actually retains any heat. But it prevents my hands from being burned, and is its own coaster.
