Several months ago I received the request to make a t-shirt quilt from old gymnastics tournament t-shirt. I had seen several versions of t-shirt but never made one myself. Here was my chance!
I first did some free-motion quilting in the yellow borders. I thought I was done, but then, after some discussion with Joe, we thought I should stitch within the tees as well. Each tee got its own unique stitch. Here are a couple samples: cobblestones, swirls, and stars. Gave me good practice, plus the bug to do more!
And now... on to Halloween! I recently won a small bundle of Windham Fabrics from my local quilt shop. I was originally planning on a simple table runner for the coffee table, but of course my brain started cranking out more ideas, and now I'm thinking of a full quilted blanket. I can't stop with the big projects, can I?

The backing was worth the search - it's great! I like your frame and shadow idea, too. Very effective. :-)
